Rutas de Tierra y Mar
Rutas de Tierra y Mar operates the leisure craft Osprey II and the schooner Karyam from Mazarrón Marina, sailing on the high seas in Mazarrón bay.
The vessels offer tours and excursions that range from a day trip dolphin watching or snorkelling to a full three-day itinerary combining boat tours with kayaking, bird watching, hiking and whale watching.
Dolphin watching trips run all year… The boat sets sail at 9am and returns at 2pm, with a mid-morning snack and a soft drink included. The company guarantees that cetaceans – such as common, bottlenose, striped, Risso’s dolphins and pilot whales, among other species – will be seen. If not, the company will offer another trip.
Snorkelling excursions are scheduled from mid-May until the end of September… The three-hour trip sails at 5pm, and a short boat trip takes you to the Tiñoso Cape marine reserve where you are able to snorkel in the pristine waters of a secluded, unspoilt cove. All equipment needed is supplied.
Sunset boat trips are offered from 15 June to 15 September… The boat sails at 9pm for a one-hour cruise along the coast, watching the spectacular sunset from the sea and allowing a blanket of stars to appear as you slowly cruise back to port.
Excursions of three to seven days can be arranged with the company, with the itinerary custom-designed to meet the requirements of each family.

Go-Karts Mar Menor
Karting has always been an exciting activity for the whole family. The introduction of dual-controlled karts allows adults to ride with the younger members of the family. Go-Karts Mar Menor, in Santiago de Ribera (San Javier), has a range of karts that vary in size and power to suit every age and experience level. Children as young as six years old can drive their own kart, depending on their confidence and ability.
Safety is of paramount importance: the company employs experienced, bilingual staff to guide clients through the procedures.
The Circuit
The circuit is approximately 1,100 metres in length, with a total of 10 curves, traveling in a clockwise direction. It is also equipped with a transponder system that controls the times and speeds independently in each of the vehicles.
The Karts
- Dual-controlled karts: These have two steering wheels… one tilts to the height of the child and the adult can maintain control but allow the child to enjoy the full experience.
- F100 kart: For children from six to 14 years old who want the thrill of driving on their own.
- F200 kart: For children from 12 years with a bit more confidence who would like to enjoy a little extra power from the 200cc engine.
- F300 kart: These can be driven from the age of 16 years upwards and provide all the speed and power of modern racing karts, improving the skill of cornering at speed.
- F400 kart: The ultimate racing experience for speed, power and technique… The 400 is a machine that will thrill and excite, and can be driven from 18 years upwards.
Facilities
An air-conditioned café-bar is available that serves drinks, tapas and mixed dishes for lunch or a light snack. The café has a large plate-glass window facing the racing circuit, so all the action can be followed with a cool drink. Two outside terraces, one at pit level and the other six metres above the track, further optimise the spectator experience.
The circuit provides ample parking space with capacity for 500 cars.
